TESTIMONIES

Our Day to Day

10/27/2026
“Be devoted to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving,  praying at the same time for us also, that God may open for us a door of the message, to speak the mystery of Christ…” (Colossians 4:2-3 LEB) God has called each person in His Church to take part in His Mission. Through Jesus God is “making all things new”, and until the new creation arrives in its fullness God uses his willing people to advance his kingdom. Every follower of Jesus has a part to play, and every one of us needs the community of God’s church to help us walk out obedience to Him. This means that all of us have two simultaneous roles in the Mission of God: obedience to the work God has given us to do, and to support, encourage, and pray for our brothers and sisters as they do the work God has called them to. Working at GoMission has given us an awesome opportunity to see both sides of participation in the work of the Kingdom. In this process we’ve been deeply encouraged by what we see others doing in obedience to Jesus! Here are some examples from the last few weeks that give a little insight into what some of our day to day looks like working for GoMission!    Natalie with Embrace Grace  Our friend Natalie recently took a position with Embrace Grace, as the regional director for Nashville Tennessee! Embrace Grace is a ministry that equips churches to love and support single mothers and mothers to be!  Before she set off, we got to sit down with Natalie and hear the story of how God has been calling her to this ministry. It turns out that God has been preparing her for a while! You can listen to Natalie’s Embrace Grace Story here! As Natalie shared about her desire to gather a community of support, we were able to develop a GoMission page and some printed materials to help the church partner with her through prayer, financial support and the sharing of testimonies!  Check out Natalie’s GoMission Page! It was so fun to work alongside Natalie over the last month before she moved. We got to hear about the different conversations she was having each week, and all the people who were excited to come alongside her! We even had a chance to go to her send off party and join the many people who were there to show their love and support for Natalie!  It is such a blessing to walk with someone who is already a friend, and watch God open doors and fill His church with excitement for what He is doing in His kingdom, through His daughter!    Jeff and Kristy with Gathering Table We also had the opportunity to attend a Gathering Table Dinner a few weeks ago, and see our good friends Jeff and Kristy in action! The Gathering Table has been around for a few years now, exploring creative ways to share the gospel right here in Clovis! Check out Gathering Table’s GoMission Page!  A Gathering Table Pop-Up Dinner brings people from different walks of life, together around one table. Jeff and Kristy do a great job of creating a welcoming environment where everyone has an opportunity to share about their life, in ways they may not normally get to. Towards the end of the meal, they take time to share a word of encouragement and hope around the gospel of Jesus. It’s amazing how much people willingly opened up, with just a few simple questions, making a way for real conversation about Jesus. We are excited about the future of what Jeff and Kristy are doing!  If you’re interested in attending a Pop-Up Dinner click here!     It has been such a gift to be able to walk alongside people who are saying “Yes!” to Jesus. All these opportunities to support others in their work also reminds us of all the people praying for, encouraging, and supporting us. Thank you all so much!  We feel that God is giving us a unique chance to think about this dual work of personal obedience and supporting others, and giving us time to pray and think about new ways to connect with all of you as we get ready to go to Argentina!     How you can be praying for us: As we work towards the future of GoMission, be praying for wisdom and for God to lead us!  We are continuing to pray about our move to Argentina in June and looking at another short term trip before then! Please pray for our transition and the Vineyard Churches in Argentina!  Please be praying for the other work we are a part of right now especially: guys/girls discipleship group, our church family, and outreach to Fresno State.

We made it to Nashville! A new home, ministry updates, and prayer requests

10/19/2026
We made it!   After 2,145 miles, my mom and I arrived at my new home in Nashville on Tuesday, October 13. Thank you for praying for us as we traveled here! Our drive was safe and uneventful, with a little rain on the first day and blue skies for the rest of the trip. Thank you to those of you who generously gifted funds to keep gas in my tank and food in our bellies!  On Wednesday, I jumped into work—writing thank-you cards to donors (many of you reading this—thank you!), learning Embrace Grace’s relationship management system, and reviewing the Embrace Life curriculum, which continues supporting single moms after Embrace Grace. Meanwhile, my mom spent hours unpacking, organizing, and making my bedroom feel like home. I’m so grateful she was here to help me settle in! A place prepared My new roommates, Ashlyn and Noel, have been so warm and welcoming. Ashlyn is a nurse at Vanderbilt’s Children’s Hospital, and Noel works as a receptionist at a local veterinary clinic. A little story behind this home: After I applied for the Regional Director role, the phrase “I will prepare a place for you” from John 14 came to mind during one of my quiet times. While Jesus is speaking about our eternal home in that passage, it seemed to me that God was promising those specific words to me in this season!  As I look around now, I’m overwhelmed by God’s kindness. The location, the women who live here, and the space itself are everything I had hoped for and more. I have my own bedroom and bathroom, plenty of storage, a garage space for my car, and even my own entrance—all at an affordable price! Thank you to those of you who generously gifted funds to help me furnish my new spot. I was able to order new bed side tables, a lamp, and bookshelves!  My sister also stopped in Nashville for the weekend between her rotations in Chattanooga and Memphis. In just three days, she introduced me to several of her friends, who welcomed me so kindly. Those connections have been such a gift in a new city. Fundraising update Many of you received my letter inviting you to partner with me through prayer and financial support as I help grow Embrace Grace in Nashville. Thank you for reading, praying, giving, and encouraging me. My goal is to raise $100,000 in six months, and I’m excited to share that, including gifts and pledges, I’m nearly a quarter of the way there! As a next step toward that goal, I’m looking for 16 more families or individuals to give $50 per month. If you feel led and are able to partner financially, I would be grateful for your support at that amount—or any amount. One-time gifts are also welcome, and every gift helps make this ministry possible. Please reach out if you’d like giving information or have any questions. I would love to share more! Will you pray with me? Your prayers are such an important part of this work. Here are some specific ways you can join me: For the ministry Pray that God would prepare the hearts of men and women to volunteer and churches to launch Embrace Grace groups. Pray for open doors with Nashville-area pregnancy care centers so women can easily learn about nearby support groups. Pray for women facing unplanned pregnancies, that they would have the support and courage to choose life and find a welcoming church community. Pray for God to arrange meetings and connections that help this ministry grow. For financial provision Pray that God would provide the funding needed to establish and grow this work in Nashville. For me personally Pray for courage as I settle into a new city and adjust to life away from my Fresno community. Pray for close friendships and a healthy, Bible-centered church where I can grow and serve. Pray for healthy rhythms as I balance ministry, graduate school, and new relationships, keeping time with God and in His Word a priority. Pray for strong relationships with my roommates and for courage and kindness as we navigate any conflict. Pray for a trusted friend with whom I can practice confession and mutual encouragement. For more frequent updates and specific prayer requests, you’re welcome to join my prayer team on WhatsApp here. I would love to have you praying alongside me! More ways to get involved If you’ve been wondering how you can personally get involved with Embrace Grace, we’ve recently launched two new programs! Become a Mentor: Walk alongside a mom or dad through a six-month, one-on-one relationship, offering encouragement, prayer, and support as they navigate pregnancy or early parenthood. You don’t need to have all the answers—just a willingness to show up and build a relationship! Become a Church Buddy: Help a mom feel welcome at church by meeting her when she arrives, sitting with her, and introducing her to others. Having someone to walk through the doors with can make all the difference. If you’re interested in learning more or signing up for either opportunity, please contact me! I would love to help you take the next step. Thank you for loving me, cheering me on, and being part of what God is doing in Nashville. I’m so grateful for you! With love,Natalie    Headed out on Sunday, October 11 at 7:00 AM with a full car!              First night in Nashville, dinner at Bar Taco with roommates and childhood friend. L-R: Tiffany (childhood friend), me, Ashlyn, Noel.  While line dancing with Erin on Friday night I met one gal who is also in a program at Biola online. We also met a fella who has worked for years at Hume Lake and has many friends in common! First visit from my Clovis community! Thanks for stopping in Josiah and Tiffany! Who's next?

A New Chapter for Grace Family Love

10/12/2026
As we look toward the beginning of 2027, Grace Family Love is preparing for an exciting new chapter. At the start of the year, the ministry will transition to the leadership of Dr. Kamille Williams. We are grateful for what God has done through Grace Family Love and look forward to seeing how He will continue to lead and grow the ministry in this next season. At the same time, Joe, Vanessa, and Ally are excited to expand ministry into Oregon and follow where Jesus is leading. While we anticipate new opportunities and relationships, we recognize that this season will also bring change, grief, stress, and uncertainty. Transitions are not always easy, even when we trust God's plan. There may be moments of sadness as we say goodbye to familiar seasons, and moments of overwhelm as we navigate what lies ahead. We want to make room for those feelings while remembering that God remains faithful through every change. Through it all, Jesus is at the center. Our calling to love others, serve faithfully, and share His hope remains unchanged. We are trusting Him to guide Dr. Kamille Williams as she steps into leadership and to provide wisdom, strength, and direction for Joe, Vanessa, and Ally as they begin this new season in Oregon. Would you pray with us in the coming months? Pray for peace in the midst of change, comfort in times of grief, strength through stress, and unity as we move forward. Pray for open doors and God's guidance in every step. We may not know exactly what the future holds, but we know the One who holds our future. As we enter this new chapter, our prayer is that we will continue to trust Jesus, follow His leading, and remain faithful to the work He has placed before us. Thank you for loving, supporting, and praying for Grace Family Love. We are grateful for the season behind us and hopeful for all that God has ahead.

Waiting for the Autumn Rains

10/01/2026
“Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.” (James 5:7-8) This is a fitting verse for us, not only because of this late season heat wave in the valley where we are all waiting for it to cool off finally!!, but also because it describes the posture that the Lord has kept the Gathering Table ministry in all year long. We are learning to wait on the Lord. A couple recent testimonies:   Bi-Monthly Team Meetings If you’re not familiar with Gathering Table, we are a ministry that, at the moment, primarily hosts pop-up dinners every other month as an outreach to bring the good news of Jesus to our community. (You can read more about them on our page on Go Mission.) During the in between, or “off-months”, we have our team meetings to pray and plan for the next upcoming dinner. This past meeting in September, we we spent about 15 minutes listening individually to the Lord, specifically asking God two questions:   -What does God want to do at this upcoming dinner? -How does God want to use the gifts He has given you at this next dinner?   It’s amazing that when we spend just a little bit of time listening to what God has to say, he not only speaks but guides the entire direction of our lives and in this case the planning of the next dinner. After sharing as a team what each of us heard from the Lord regarding the upcoming dinner, it was evident that God had given us each individually some clear direction for the answers to the two questions we asked. We didn’t leave the team meeting with a burdensome to-do list (which is often the case for ministry planning meetings), but with a clear direction for what God wants to do and how we can partner with what He is already doing. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. It confirmed to me that the Gathering Table team is not an “event planning committee”, though that is needed at times, but it it a serving ministry to show our community the hands and feet of Jesus in both our words and our actions. We are excited for what God has planned and what He is doing in each of our lives and as a team.   Bee Keeping Apprenticeship We just wrapped up the 2026 Bee Keeping Apprenticeship (BKA) that went from May-September, where we hosted a Bible study every other Saturday morning with 3 local veterans, while also starting 3 bee hives together as a fun way to build relationship and community with one another. It’s hard to express all that God did during this time. Each of the men, including me (Jeff), were personally impacted by this time together. As someone who is not a veteran, being around 3 veterans was very eye opening. All 3 have struggled and still do struggle with PTSD in some way or another. I realized after the BKA, that there is a great need in the veteran community for groups like the BKA- hands-on, community-focused interaction, that is BIBLE BASED AND JESUS CENTERED. There are a lot of programs out there that do the first part (activities, community), but not many that are Christ-centered and boldly share that Jesus is the only way any of us will find true healing and peace in this life. As part of the apprenticeship, we got to bless each of the 3 veterans with a unique study Bible to keep, to encourage them to continue diving into God’s word and growing in their relationship with Jesus. If this is something that you would like to donate toward, click here.   Prayer If you would like to partner with us in prayer, please be praying for what comes next for the three veterans who participated in the BKA- that they would find a church community to plug into and take their next steps in following Jesus. One of the men is still on the edge of receiving salvation. Pray over our October 11 Pop-up dinner for the testimonies and the gospel shared to take root in people’s hearts and for lasting connections to be made. And lastly, for vision for Gathering Table for next year. We are starting to seek the Lord for the next steps for the ministry, including doing the BKA again next year, possibly opening it up to men and women as there have been a lot of women expressing interest in it, and finishing writing down the vision for a working farm ministry that temporarily houses and hosts people who feel stuck in life to find hope and purpose in Christ.   Photo highlights of the 2026 BKA with the 3 veterans

Sunday Morning Slides, Inspiring Missionary Stories, Whiteboards, and the Same Old Things!

09/21/2026
Sunday Morning Slides, Inspiring Missionary Stories, Whiteboards, and the Same Old Things! Argentina Partnership Updates We are working on some different ways we can help our church engage with the churches in Argentina, during the seasons when we don't have teams going to visit! Every month, we video call one of the partnering pastors in Argentina. We ask them about what they are celebrating, what they are challenged by, and their biggest prayer needs. Then we compile that into a bullet point prayer list and put it on a slide to share on a Sunday morning. During the Argentina Update portion of our announcements, we invite our church to take 2 minutes to pray with the people around them, for the needs of the pastors and the church there.  People have already made comments to us about how fun it is to hear how each pastor is doing on a more regular basis, which was encouraging! We are hoping that even this simple prayer moment on a Sunday, will keep the mission God has called us to as a body in front of us!    Live the Mission Conference  We had the opportunity to attend Mountain View Church’s Live the Mission Conference a couple weeks ago! We felt so blessed to sit in a room with so many different missionaries from all over, hearing stories of what God has done and is doing in their countries. It got us excited about some ways we can help further develop GoMission.Church but also encouraged us as we continue to prepare to move to Argentina. One major highlight from the conference was from a session led by a pastor from  Eastern Germany, who said that you have to “start before you’re ready” when it comes to missions and church planting. He shared stories about how God gave him just enough to get started but how he had to wait for the provision to get through! We felt encouraged to keep stepping out in faith before we have all the answers, if we feel God is speaking and the people around us are affirming that it’s God speaking! It was such a great time to connect with people doing similar work that we are hoping to do in Argentina and hear testimonies of God drawing people to himself!   Auditing for GoMission.Church One of Jared’s main roles in GoMission.Church is auditing all of our internal documents and processes, helping to organize and unify language, communications, and vision. We have had fun going over the vision for GoMission and strengthening how we communicate this internally as well as with missionaries and pastors! Our meetings lately have looked like rolling out the big white board, Meghan writing out notes or concepts, Pastor Andy and Jared collaborating to ground all that we do in scripture, many ideas written down to save for later, and sometimes tacos! We are really enjoying working as a team along with Pastor Andy to further develop GoMission.Church, to better serve the churches in our city, missionaries, and ultimately God’s kingdom!   Annnnd all the usual things! Along with our work at GoMission, we are still taking time to pray about moving Argentina and for Argentina! Our morning prayer times with our church are still going strong, with a main topic being prayer for open doors for fruitful ministry at Fresno State, for our church to participate in. We have made it into our 10th week of the Guys/Girls “New Life” Groups, and are seeing our young adults press into more of what God has for them. This past Sunday we got to lead worship together for the first time at our church, which was very sweet and made us even more excited to grow in leading worship together!    A snapshot from a Missionary Panel at the Live the Mission Conference!    Behind the scenes look at our GoMission Auditing/Planning Whiteboard sessions! A screenshot from the livestream this past Sunday, when we got to lead worship together! A great meal and time of fellowship at the Girls “New Life” Group Meghan is helping lead!    How you can pray: - Continued discernment as we work on developing GoMission.Church and preparing things for the people after us! - Discernment and wisdom in preparations for moving to Argentina and ideas on how to better connect our church here with the churches there! - For our Guys/Girls “New Life” Groups, that the Lord would continue to draw them deeper and that they would answer His call!

Planting Seeds of the Kingdom of God

09/03/2026
Planting Seeds of the Kingdom of God “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” (Matthew 13:31-32) We have had the joy so far this year to see God using the Gathering Table ministry to plant seeds of the kingdom of God in the hearts of people in our community, specifically through the bi-monthly Pop-Up dinners and the May-September Bee Keeping Apprenticeship. There is a lot that goes into a seed becoming a tree - water, sunlight, soil, nutrients, etc. The same is true when it comes to the kingdom of God. First, seeds of the kingdom are planted, then they are watered and nourished and cared for as God grows them from seeds to plants, and eventually to full grown trees. And God is the one who makes them grow! “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.” (1 Corinthians 3:6-7) This is both a humbling and an encouraging passage of scripture. First, it reminds us that we cannot do anything without God’s help, provision, love and sustaining power. We are nothing without Him. And second, it is not our job or place to try to make things happen. Instead we simply do the planting and watering of the seeds of the kingdom, with God’s help and guidance, and trust that He will bring the growth of what is planted. So as a ministry, the Lord has given us lots of opportunities this year to plant seeds of the kingdom. We are learning that planting seeds is not a one time thing. Often people need to hear the gospel many times before the Lord brings them to the place of opening up to receive Jesus. We have one person involved through Gathering Table who is on the brink of coming to the Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Another person who God is drawing, I think out of curiosity more than anything else. God is moving. But we are also learning in this ministry that there is another - the enemy- who also is actively planting seeds, as seen in the parable of the weeds in Matthew 13:24-30, sowing seeds of distrust, bitterness and doubt. Whenever you step into sowing seeds of the kingdom of God in people’s lives, the enemy will do everything he can to thwart any kind of spiritual growth from happening that is rooted in Christ. It is a spiritual battle. Sometimes one step forward, two steps back. But our job as God’s children is simply to keep planting the seeds and tending to what is growing, remembering that this is His garden, not ours, and all the glory is due to Him alone.   (We spoke in generalities here about the specific examples of the hearts of people God is moving on through Gathering Table to respect their privacy at the moment. You can partner with what God is doing in their lives by praying that God would bring salvation in Christ to those He is drawing through the Gathering Table ministry, and also that  they would find connection and places to belong in the local church body.)

New Doors, New Dreams, New Beginnings

09/02/2026
August was a very special month for Grace Family Love. Four of our GFL girls took a huge step forward as they moved out and began exciting new chapters in their lives. Two of our girls moved into their dorms at Fresno State, beginning their college journeys and embracing all that this new season has to offer. We are so proud of them as they pursue their education, experience college life, meet new people, and continue discovering who they are and what they want for their futures. Our other two girls took an equally exciting step as they moved into their very own apartments. Having a place to call their own is such a meaningful milestone and a wonderful reflection of the growth, hard work, and independence they have developed along the way. At Grace Family Love, we believe in walking alongside our girls through every season of life. We are here to provide love, encouragement, guidance, and support as they work toward becoming confident, independent young women. Getting to witness these milestones is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Moving out represents so much more than simply having a new place to live. It represents growth, courage, independence, and the beginning of new possibilities. Each of these girls has worked hard to get to where she is today, and we could not be more proud of all four of them. To our four amazing GFL girls: we are incredibly proud of you and everything you have accomplished. We will always be cheering you on, supporting you, and celebrating the many successes that are still ahead. This is just the beginning, and we cannot wait to see where life takes each of you next.

May they walk forward boldly, knowing they are capable. May they face each new challenge with courage. May they find joy in the little things, strength when life feels difficult, and confidence in the women they are becoming. And may they always know that they have a family cheering them on and praying for them every step of the way. Lord, guide each of these young women as they step into this new season. Give them courage when they are afraid, boldness when they need to advocate for themselves, wisdom in every decision, and joy as they experience the freedom and responsibility of independence. Remind them that they are never alone and that You are walking with them every step of the way. Amen.
