Projects

Projects provide a central hub for the ongoing initiatives your organization supports. They help supporters stay connected to the work they care about over time. Projects can represent a long-term effort such as a program, facility, or scholarship, and can be linked to places, campaigns, and sponsorships.

CVSOM Chromebook Program

$0.00 Raised 0%
A basic laptop is essential for students to access material, take notes, and turn in assignments. Many of our students do not have access to current technology. Working with old equipment makes a rigorous school experience even more difficult. We would like to purchase a class set of 30 Chromebooks ($200 each) that can be checked out to students who need them for the duration of the school. These would remain with the school after graduation to be used again with the next class.

CVSOM - For Spanish Speakers

CVSOM For Spanish Speakers The Vision We believe the Lord is calling us to make CVSOM available to the Spanish-speaking community of the Central Valley and beyond. One of the Central Valley's greatest strengths is its variety of cultures and languages. We desire to see CVSOM translated and taught in Spanish for those who need to be equipped with a strong biblical foundation, and as leaders, help pastors advance the ministry of the church and the Kingdom of God.   What needs to be done? CVSOM for the Spanish-speaking community, will need an administrator who is bilingual in English and Spanish.  $12,000 of the $36,000 we will raise, will be set aside as a stipend for the administrator role. $24,000 would go towards translating the current curriculum, paying instructors, a Spanish version of our website, and any promotional materials and equipment needed for presentation to the Spanish-speaking Churches.

CVSOM - Remote Expansion

CVSOM Remote Expansion The Vision For the past few years, CVSOM has been hosted at The Legacy Christian Church. This has been a wonderful hub for our students from many local churches and our instructors to come together, fellowship, and go deeper in the Word of God. However, we believe that the blessing of CVSOM shouldn’t be limited to the Fresno / Clovis area. CVSOM was founded on the desire to help churches develop leaders within their specific ministry context here in the Central Valley. Our students are being transformed by the truth and equipped to lead people in following Jesus with a solid biblical foundation. We believe that God wants CVSOM to reach beyond the boundary lines of Fresno County and expand to other locations in the Central Valley.   How would this work? The Legacy Christian Church is currently the only host location for CVSOM. We would like to invite other churches in the surrounding areas to become hosts for a CVSOM remote location. This church would become the meeting place on Tuesday nights for students to come and learn together in community through live instruction. Legacy would livestream the classes, and students in the remote locations could tune in from their location, have access to a chat box for questions, and participate in table discussions in real time. About once a month, we would like to send our instructors to the remote location to give that cohort the "in-person" experience, while those at the Legacy campus connect from their location. When we have weekend seminars, our dream is to have all of the students from remote locations come together in one place to encourage one another and participate in the unity of the Kingdom of God! What do we need? Our vision is big, but we need to start somewhere! Legacy already owns live streaming equipment (i.e., cameras, live streaming software, and i pads). All we need is a person to run the livestream! With the support of partners, we can pay them $25 an hour to attend Tuesday night classes and occasional weekend seminars, to run the live stream, and to help the remote church location set up their system to tune into classes!

CVSOM Scholarship Fund

Many of the students in CVSOM come from low or middle-income situations. We have young people just starting out, Bi-vocational Pastors of small churches who rarely get paid, and Parents working full-time to make ends meet. Despite the extremely low cost of the school and flexible payment options, the cost still places a quality Christian education outside of many their reach. This is where scholarships come in. We don't want anyone who feels called to take their next steps in Ministry with CVSOM to be limited by the cost.   You have the opportunity to provide a pathway for the next leaders of the church to get equipped and sent out to do what God is asking them to do. You can give a full scholarship, a half scholarship, or give monthly towards our scholarship fund!

Gathering Table Pop-Up Dinners

$0.00

A table that pops up throughout the community The heartbeat of the Gathering Table ministry is hosting Pop-Up Dinners throughout our community that brings people together who are different from one another around one common table to share a meal and hear one another's stories. Psalm 107:2-3 says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story – those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.”  Gathering Table is a ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18), with the purpose being focused on breaking down barriers between people and God. We create opportunities at the table for guests to share their story in some way. For example, a common question we have used is, "What is a hardship you have gone though, and how did you get through it?" We use an open-ended question like this one that anyone can answer. As followers of Jesus, God's redemption story is interwoven in our story - the two are unseparable. By answering this question about a hardship we have gone through, the believers around the table are naturally sharing what God has done in their life with those at the table who might not know Jesus. In this regard, these dinners are primarily evangelistic. At the end of each dinner, we get to share what we call the "Gospel Takeaway" with our guests, by speaking the hope of Jesus Christ into the life stories that have been shared during the meal.  This table ministry is messy and beautiful at the same time. Heartbreaking stories are often shared (which is the messy part, as people respond to this in all kinds of ways), and vulnerability is almost always the atmosphere around the table, often between people who are complete strangers. Our prayer for each dinner is that gospel seeds are planted in the hearts of our guests (both believers and unbelievers alike, as we all need to hear the hope of Jesus regularly) and that lasting connections are made between the church and the unchurched ultimately leading the lost to come to know Jesus. Everything is 100 percent paid for through donations, so that our guests can enjoy an amazing experience without the burden of covering any costs.  Each dinner seats between 10-20 people and costs between $400-$500, depending on the number of guests, the food and the venue.   2025 marks the fifth year of doing Pop-Up Dinners in our community. Since 2021, Gathering Table has hosted: - Over 15 Pop-Up dinners in Fresno, Clovis, Sanger and Kingsburg - Over 100 guests, many attended multiple dinners - Over 200 plates of delicious food served from local restaurants    There are a number of ways you can support upcoming dinners: - Give a donation towards Gathering Table - Purchase a Spoon Ring and/or Raw Honey at the Collective 103 in Old Town Clovis (proceeds go to Gathering Table) - Give toward the 2025 Collective Spot Campaign   Sandy's Country Junction in Old Town Clovis Papa's Place in Old Town Clovis Gazebo Gardens in Tower District   Visit our website for FAQ and upcoming dinners. www.gatheringtablefarms.com

Hope 58 - New Beginnings Preschool

A Strong Start for Uganda’s Children Providing young children in rural Uganda with Christ-centered early education to prepare them for a bright future. What is New Beginnings? New Beginnings Nursery Preschool is a Christ-centered, quality preschool serving the community of Bulesa Uganda. The region of Bulesa is one of the poorest-performing districts in all of Uganda. Mama Shelley and her team have prayed over and prepared a place where little lives will be transformed and flourish in a learning environment that provides a brighter future for the next generation.  Because of God’s goodness and faithfulness, New Beginnings offers a safe place for preschoolers to play, an amazing learning environment full of learning aids and educational resources, and 2 meals a day (breakfast and lunch).  With open hands, surrendered hearts, and feet willing to go, the dream for this preschool has finally come true.  We are excited to be a part of changing the narrative for these little lives.  An African proverb says, “A child is what you put into him.”  Through this Christ-centered learning experience, our preschoolers will receive an excellent foundation of education and faith-based learning that will hopefully impact their lives for generations to come.   Why Early Education Matters Early childhood education lays the foundation for a child’s future development and success. In Uganda, many children in rural areas lack access to quality preschool programs, which puts them at a disadvantage before they even begin primary school. At Hope58, our preschool program is designed to give children in these communities a strong start, combining educational fundamentals with a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. Our program equips children not only with academic skills but also with spiritual and social development to prepare them for a bright future.     Support the Preschool In addition to sponsoring children to attend, there are other ways to support New Beginnings Preschool. The school is in a constant state of growth which means more of nearly everything you can imagine. More books, more curriculum, more craft supplies, more tables, more chairs, more playground equipment. You get the idea. Regular support in addition to sponsorships goes a long way to meet the ever-growing needs of the ministry. Below are some general options for supporting the preschool before we have specific sponsorship available in January. Hope 58 - New Life Pastor Training

Biblical Training to Lead Uganda’s Churches Empowering village pastors in Uganda with deep biblical knowledge and leadership skills to guide their congregations and communities.     How you can help train Pastors Below are a few ways you can help us equip pastors with the essential training they need to effectively communicate the gospel to the people they serve in Uganda. Why Biblical Training Matters In Uganda, while many have embraced Christianity, Biblical understanding is often shallow. A common saying is that “the gospel is a mile wide but only an inch deep.” Many village pastors lack formal theological education, and as a result, their congregations are vulnerable to false teachings. At Hope58, we aim to bridge this gap by equipping pastors with in-depth biblical knowledge and discipleship skills. Currently, we operate 12 Bible schools with 200 pastors in training. Our goal is to empower these pastors to confidently teach the Word of God and lead their churches with wisdom and grace.     Send your support by mail If you prefer to mail your support for the pastors training you can mail your check to:   Hope58 P.O. box 1341 Clovis CA 93613 Attention: Pastors Training

New Life Farm

Did you know New Life Ministry Center has farm land of around 20 acres! Recently, the Scales Family moved from rural South Carolina to Uganda to focus on farm ministry as a mission. This involves growing the production of the land to help with feeding students and hopefully the community. Purchasing seeds, supplies, machinery, and implementing new systems like irrigation are part of the future planning for this farm. If you would like to partner with us in this mission to reach the community through the farm, click here!   A little bit about the Scales Family: We are a family of 5 from South Carolina. We own a farm there. We felt a call to missions a few years ago, not sure what that would look like for us, and after a lot of prayer, research, and making connections, we met the Actis Family, and they needed a farm manager! So we felt God’s call to Uganda to use farming as an outreach. The farm is located at the girls' school ministry. Around 12 plantable acres of land. Currently, we work with local Ugandans to grow maize, beans, and ground nuts. We have started to experiment with other vegetables like eggplant, zucchini, and watermelon. We hope to grow the farm output so that it can feed the students and the surrounding village! We use the farm as a platform to get villagers to work here as we do devotions, etc, to try to reach those who aren’t believers. We see a need to grow the farm and need tools like irrigation, tractor, etc, to grow the ability of production capacity we know this farm is capable of.
