We are cross cultural workers serving in East Asia with an international and interdenominational Christian NGO focused on the 10/40 window. Our vision is to see lives and communities transformed in East Asia through encounters with the good news of Jesus Christ. Our initiatives include church planting, house of prayer, and a discipleship school for the next generation. Our heart is for the Church in East Asia to thrive as a bible based, Spirit-led church sent on mission to make disciples who make disciples.
Jon has served as a pastor in a range of church settings including church plant, Korean church English ministry, and most recently as a discipleship pastor at a multiethnic Presbyterian church. Over the course of his life Jon lived in many countries including S Korea, Argentina, and America.
Karen is an oncology pharmacist, currently serving at an outpatient infusion center for patients with various cancers. Karen is also a third culture kid, having been born and raised in S Korea and immigrating to America at age 12.
God has blessed us with three beautiful children, Micah (4), Judah (2), and baby Selah (7 months). They keep us busy! In our free time, we love being outdoors hiking, biking, running, and playing sports together (as much as a baby allows!). We also love experiencing different cultures and what better way than to eat yummy authentic food.
