At GFL, we believe some of the most powerful success stories are not defined only by grades, diplomas, or college acceptance letters — they are defined by courage. Today, we proudly celebrate Rhonda and May as they graduate from Learn4Life and prepare to attend California State University, Fresno this fall.

Their accomplishments are extraordinary not simply because they earned a diploma, but because of everything they had to overcome to get here.

Both Rhonda and May have faced challenges and trauma that could have easily discouraged them from continuing forward. They know what it feels like to carry pain, uncertainty, disappointment, and struggles that many people never see. Their journey has not been easy, and healing is not something that happens overnight. Even now, there are still difficult days, moments of doubt, and battles they continue to work through.

But what makes their story so inspiring is that they refused to let their pain define them.

Instead, they chose growth. They chose perseverance. They chose to keep showing up for themselves and for their future, even when the path forward felt hard. Through every setback, they continued fighting for healing, for purpose, and for the lives they knew they were capable of building.

At GFL, we have had the privilege of watching them transform hardship into strength and pain into purpose. We have seen them become more confident, more determined, and more hopeful about their future. Their resilience has inspired everyone around them.

Their story is also a reminder of the power of faith.

Through the ups and downs, Rhonda and May have continued seeking God and trusting Jesus to guide them through seasons of struggle and uncertainty. Faith does not erase hardship, but it provides hope in the middle of it. It reminds us that our past does not have the final word and that healing is possible even when the process is difficult.

Jesus meets us in broken places and walks with us through restoration, growth, and renewal. Rhonda and May’s journey reflects that truth. They are living proof that no matter where someone starts or what they have been through, there is always hope for a new beginning.

As they begin this next chapter at Fresno State, we know they will continue to grow into strong, compassionate, and purpose-driven young women. Their experiences have already shaped them into leaders with empathy, resilience, and wisdom beyond their years.

Everyone at GFL is incredibly proud of them — not just for graduating, but for becoming the people they are today. Their strength, vulnerability, faith, and determination have impacted our entire community.

Rhonda and May, your story matters. Your perseverance matters. And your future is full of promise.

We celebrate all you have overcome, all you are becoming, and all God still has planned for your lives. Congratulations on this incredible achievement. We love you, we are proud of you, and we cannot wait to see what comes next.
